Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14
Until Elijah came on the scene in 1 Kings 17, we knew nothing about him. It is clear, however, that he had been with God, waiting upon Him, listening to His instruction, and being made ready for the moment when the Lord said, “Go!”
The anointing of Elijah is upon this generation (Malachi 4:5-6), preparing the way for the coming of the Lord. God is activating it. It is a forerunner anointing. This anointing encompasses the life and legacy of Elijah -- his courage to confront evil, his commitment to the one true God, the purity of his lifestyle, his father’s heart, and his ability to wait on the Lord.
Courage comes from a lifestyle of waiting on the Lord, putting Him first and obeying His instruction. I invite you to join us in September for an encounter with the living God, and an opportunity to be strengthened in your faith and emboldened for your journey of faith!
