Developing Critical Thinking Skills    Taught by Dr. Jeff Johns

Critical Thinking: the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment. Simply put, it is the decision-making process to solve problems. The word ‘critical’ implies the development of “discerning judgment based on standards.” Discernment, skillful analysis, coming to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, all based upon and rooted in the Word of God, the highest of all standards – the Body of Christ needs this!  Being transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

The Weaponry of Prayer    Taught by Dr. Jeff Johns

Scripture assures us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but MIGHTY through God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Ephesians 6 describes our spiritual armor and admonishes us to take up our weapons – the Word of God and all kinds of PRAYER (vs. 17, 18). Just as a soldier has a variety of weaponry and understands its use, the Body of Christ needs to know there are multiple types of prayer and to understand when and how to utilize each. We have been given mighty weapons that we need to use properly, at the right time, and for their specified purposes. This class will revolutionize your prayer life, that you may be assured of victory in every battle.

The Book of Hebrews    Taught by Dr. Bernita Conway

The Book of Hebrews reveals to us how Christ came fulfilling the Law and the Prophets, conquering sin, shattering all barriers to God and freely providing eternal life. The message of Hebrews is that Jesus Christ is better, Christianity is superior in that Christ is completely sufficient for salvation. This letter was written to a group of Christians who were wavering between Christianity and Judaism and wanting to go back into legalism, law and sacrifice. The readers are exhorted to hold onto their new faith, to encourage one another, and to look forward to the return of Christ. Christ is an understanding and compassionate mediator and the only way to eternal life. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)

The Authority of the Believer    Taught by Dr. Carol Granderson

This class will help the student discover and apply the biblical principles set forth in Ephesians for every believer. The authority of the believer is the possession of every child of God! Understanding this authority is of primary importance in working with God in prayer and walking out our faith, being effective in the Harvest, and resisting the enemy.  Christians have been given the authority to overcome enemy attacks and to release us into our glorious covenant promise! As believers, we must know about that authority and how to operate in it. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
